This course contains 7 main topics

The syllabus of the basic course on audiovisuals in cinemas covers all the essential aspects to understand the operation of both cinemas and projection booths. The main topics include:

Central rack, content and management
Module 1 – approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

In this first session of the course, we will learn what the central rack is, what its components are and what its main function is. In addition, we will explore how the content that is screened in cinemas is managed.
Projection: elements in the room.
Module 2 – approximately 1 hour and 18 minutes.

In this second session of the course, we will explore the elements of projection found within a cinema.
Projection: Equipment in booth.
Module 3 – approximately 1 hour and 24 minutes.

In this third session of the course, we will explore the projection elements found inside a cinema booth.
Audio in cinemas
Module 4 – approximately 1 hour and 17 minutes.

In this fourth session of the course, we will take a closer look at audio in cinemas. We will explore what sound is, the different audio formats used and the audio equipment present in both theatres and projection booths.
Digital signage
Module 5 – 47 minutes approx.

In this fifth session of the course, we will explain what digital signage is and the different types of signage that exist today.
Automation in cinemas
Module 6 – 28 minutes approx.

In this sixth session of the course, we will learn what cinema automation is, what its components are and what its main function is. In addition, we will explore how it is configured and the various levels of automation.
Introduction to good practice
Module 7 – approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

In this seventh session of the course, we will discuss good practices for handling equipment, as well as the importance of order and cleanliness in film booths.

The trainers

The trainers of this course are active members of the Cinemanext team, with roles in the NOC service (Remote Technical Support) and the technical department, and have extensive experience in the film industry.
